Contract Project Manager – Oncology
A bit about the role …
The Project Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of projects on time and within budget while maintaining positive internal and client relationships. This position is a longterm contract and for the right fit, will convert to FTE (must be located on US East Coast for FTE). The position is 100% remote and the office is located in Philadelphia, PA for any on-site requirements.
What will you be doing …
– Oversee workstreams for large clinical/oncology client and upcoming congresses.
– Serving as client point of contact for assigned projects
– Leading internal and/or external meetings (eg, project status) for assigned projects, including the capturing and communication of pertinent information (eg, key takeaways, action items)
– Managing day-to-day project activities with support from project coordinator
· Communicating with the client and internal project team
· Creating and maintaining project timelines
· Creating and routing task emails
· Obtaining time estimates from internal team members
· Preparing deliverables for client review
· Populating and/or updating internal spreadsheets (eg, resourcing grid, project trackers)
– Participating in resourcing discussions
– Serving as an internal champion for process and workflow cross-functionally
– Managing financials for assigned projects:
· Creating SOWs (with direction from Pod Lead and/or Client Services)
· Entering project budgets within our system (ProCim)
· Monitoring/managing budgets and ensuring profit margins are being met
· Alerting client services of scope creep in a timely manner
· Invoicing per project milestones
· Reconciliation/closing of completed projects
· Forecasting and reporting
– Administrative and additional tasks as may be required
What do you need to have …
– Bachelor’s degree
– Minimum 2+ years relevant experience as a project coordinator or 1+ year relevant experience as a project manager in a sales training agency
– Fluency creating and modifying project timelines
– Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work to and within deadlines and juggle multiple projects
- Strong administrative and organization skills, including ability to multi-task
- Keen attention to detail, ability to prioritize responsibilities and work in a team-oriented environment as well as independently
– Working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
- Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project (experience with SmartSheet a plus), and Microsoft Teams
– Ability to travel as needed, including weekends
– Experience in Pharmaceutical Sales Training highly desirable
– Experience with live meetings, preferably in the oncology space, HIGHLY DESIRED
