Technical SEO Specialist (REMOTE)
The Technical SEO Specialist will be responsible for executing technical SEO tactics and recommendations to help improve the company’s web vitals and maintain the site health. This role will run monthly site SEO audits, report on technical errors, and test and implement website recommendations to improve website health. It combines an understanding of search engines, web development, and broad marketing concepts in order to develop and implement tactics that will positively impact website indexability and increase SERP (Search Engine Results Page) rankings and conversion rates. The Specialist will partner with SEO team members to analyze and report on site health issues and recommend key conversion points, and make changes as appropriate. They will collaborate with stakeholders across the production team, data and analytics team, digital strategy leads, and SEO team to ensure any changes meet business needs and align with SEO best practices. They will stay up to date on search trends and identify future growth opportunities that can advance the overall SEO strategy for the company.

Technical SEO Specialist Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining site SEO health and reporting on core web vitals.
Creating, maintaining and submitting XML sitemaps.
Perform monthly site audits/crawls using tools like Siteimprove and DeepCrawl to identify and report on errors or areas for improvement regarding technical SEO.
Work with the production and development teams to resolve technical errors found.
Conduct website tests across browsers, operating systems, and devices to ensure all sites are running effectively and with optimal loading speeds.
Work with project management software (ex. JIRA) to help manage tickets regarding development changes and fixing technical/performance issues.
Report on thin content, duplicate titles, and other technical SEO problems that have been identified in monthly crawls and work with the Content SEO Specialist to execute content changes.
Report on and fix broken links, incorrect redirect types, and broken pages.
Update web pages and execute new page builds through utilization of the content management system, ensuring pages are following SEO best practices.
Create and manage redirects following SEO best practices.
Defines technical CMS requirements for future web migrations.

Technical SEO Specialist Requirements:
1-3 years’ hands-on experience working in SEO – Technical SEO background preferred.
Understanding of search engine crawling behavior and its impact on traffic and Google Rankings.
Advanced knowledge of HTML, and best practices in relation to SEO and accessibility.
Basic knowledge of CSS and JavaScript, and best practices in relation to SEO and accessibility.
Experience with responsive/mobile websites.
Understanding of schema.org microdata.
Ability to spot data trends that can diagnose website issues.
Experience with this tech stack or similar: SEO Tools (Conductor, MOZ, SEMrush, BrightEdge),
