Contract to perm hire role
Hybrid- two days a week on-site in Malvern, PA- rest remote

General Account of Position:

The position works cross functionally to drive complex project deliveries to successful completion. Our ideal candidate will be an individual with prior IT project management experience and has worked extensively within the product and software development lifecycle processes. We need people who are fast learners and can apply that knowledge.


Strongly developed soft skills including communication, collaboration, adaptability, active listening, negotiation, conflict management, and time management skills are required. These qualities have a strong impact on the approach a person brings to interactions with the team, stakeholders, vendors, and supervisors.


Essential Responsibilities:

1. Coordinating with cross discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules

2. Create and manage multiple projects concurrently from conception to completion and post-completion

3. Coordinate meetings with internal and external project team members to identify and resolve issues

4. Actively manage vendor onboarding and vendor relationships to ensure alignment with The Institutes

5. Engage with stakeholders to ensure they are informed of the current status, confirm that the team has a clear understanding of their needs, and take an active role in managing expectations

6. Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards stated in the requirements

7. Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution

8. Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget

9. Analyze business situations, create processes, and demonstrate problem solving and analytical thinking skills for the success of the project

10. Identify, resolve, and communicate any project issues to all necessary teams, both internal and external

11. Works closely with the IT Service Desk and other IT resources on new system implementations and software production releases

12. Generate reports to track the progress of projects and deliverables

13. Manage at all levels of the organization to provide support, project management, critical updates, and performance metrics to provide feedback and enable continuous improvement

14. Experience managing teams that are dispersed and not collocated with a mix of FTE’s as well as consultants is necessary. Effectively managing this dynamic is essential to the success of the program

Required Technical Skills

1. Strong experience using Microsoft Project, Jira, and experience with project management tools/systems

2. Clear understanding of the software development process and lifecycle

3. Understanding of functional requirements


Required Competencies:

1. Ability to create technical and business documentation

2. Must be a detail and deadline oriented individual

3. Ability to anticipate needs and questions

4. Must have experience working in highly technical, mission-critical environment. Operations background a plus.

5. Must be able to plan, execute, and complete projects in a timely manner

6. Must have a strategic, analytical, and tactical mind with critical thinking skills. Exhibit excellent problem solving skills that can apply your knowledge to solve issues in innovative ways

7. Highly motivated with the ability to drive initiatives cross functionally

8. Must have experience interfacing with end customers and/or partners

9. Must be a team player

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelors/Masters or equivalent relevant work experience

2. Experience with application development projects a big plus

3. Minimum 5 yrs. Experience

4. PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, or Lean certification is a plus
