Social Media Manager

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Work with the CMO to develop and maintain an on-going social strategy

· Oversee Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social accounts, managing weekly and monthly calendars of posts and posting directly as well as managing other resources

· Monitor and respond to posts, including developing a strategy to manage negative posts or social media conversations

· Manage and report on growth in engagement and followers

· Use Sprout and other tools to identify and monitor relevant audiences and follow and engage with them

· Prepare reports of key topics and trends that relevant audiences or communities are talking about

· Use tools such as Hootsuite to schedule posts in advance to ensure a robust on-going cadence

· Manage live events, including trade shows and speaking opportunities

· Develop and implement creative concepts to generate awareness and engagement

· Manage SEM, social promotion, and other digital advertising to grow audience as well as reach specific targeted audiences with messages

· Stay up to date on latest trends and advocate better ways to reach and engage audiences.

· Actively understand the brand and become the leading brand ambassador

· Write and edit blog posts, newsletters and other company communications

· Assist in other marketing and company strategies and tasks as requested

 

Requirements:

· Excellent written and oral communications

· Very social media savvy, with a history of personal or business social media accounts that demonstrate personality and voice

· Ability to be interesting within the bounds of professionalism

· Self-motivated, with an understanding that managing social media is a 24/7 endeavor

· Tech-savvy, with experience using Sprout, Hootsuite, or other social media tools.

· Experience managing event logistics, ideally including working with trade shows and conferences

· Ability to develop and implement creative ideas to build brand and generate excitement

· Have your own reliable transportation

· Possess strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and potentially Adobe Creative Suite

· Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and other current web technologies a plus

· Must excel in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task proficiently

· Must be a self-starter and not require constant supervision

· Must be willing to work beyond the 40-hour work week and respond to off-hours requests for assistance as needed
