We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable working with search data and trends, as well as communicating and executing next steps from them. This role will be cross-functional, helping to build and execute strategies to improve our organic visibility while also consulting on future product releases that will impact SEO for Institutional Marketing’s customer websites. The SEO Specialist will sit on the marketing team but collaborate with multiple departments, including content, engineering, and data teams. This individual will be responsible for SEO improvement tactics and recommendations for continued optimization efforts. An ideal candidate would be someone with a technical understanding of SEO and 4+ years of experience working in an SEO role.

Job Description

  • Keyword-content mapping recommendations
  • Providing content restructuring, revision, and redesign recommendations
  • Optimization of page title, URL, meta tags, heading, and alt text tags
  • Optimization of internal linking structure and anchor text
  • Own reporting and analysis of performance metrics and regularly share them with the greater team
  • Web analytics to track performance of on-page optimization and ongoing re-optimization
  • Communicate Analytics to key stakeholders at regular intervals
  • Perform site audits and provide recommendations
  • Create & Optimize New Page Templates
  • Analyze data from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and/or other SEO platforms

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years of work experience in search engine optimization or content writing
  • Excellent English writing and grammar skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience

6-month assignment with potential extensions and opportunity to convert. Include portfolio if applicable. Prefer candidates who can work onsite 3 days/week once return to office is finalized in early 2022 – Malvern, PA; Charlotte, NC; Scottsdale, AZ Return to work will require proof of vaccination. Conversion opportunities require the ability to work onsite 3 days/week and proof of vaccination.
