SEO Analyst’s responsibilities include performing keyword research, providing content optimization recommendations, and analyzing organic search site performance. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with current SEO techniques and tools and have excellent analytical skills.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct keyword research using various tools (Keyword Planner, Brightedge, Google Trends, Screaming Frog, Moz etc.)
  • Track key site SEO metrics including organic traffic, conversion rates and time on site
  • Identify keyword gaps in our current content and provide recommendations for priorities to target
  • Provide recommendations to update existing content and add effective calls to action (CTAs) to improve user engagement
  • Provide SEO UAT and validation for new website experiences
  • Work cross-functionally to provide recommendations for site architecture and URL structure
  • Analyze potential impact of any URL consolidation and page redirects
  • Report on performance metrics comparing them to our SEO goals and benchmarking data
  • Perform competitive analysis to inform keyword targeting strategies
  • Follow SEO trends and stay up to date with new tools and practices


  • Work experience as an SEO Analyst or similar digital marketing role
  • Expertise in Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with keyword research and management tools
  • Familiarity with Jira or other similar issue and task management software
  • Understanding of ranking factors and search engine optimization practices
  • Strong analytical skills
  • BS in Marketing or relevant diploma
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, computer science or systems management discipline
