Hybrid – 2 days on-site in Wilmington for alignment sessions

Location: While there is some flexibility, there is a strong benefit to the role being geographically near the Wilmington, DE area to facilitate frequent collaboration with program resources who are currently working in a hybrid model (mostly at home / remote, but occasionally face to face in the offices to drive alignment in the fast paced program). If fully remote as opposed to hybrid, must be able to travel for periodic alignment sessions.

Duration: This will be a 6 month contract for now with the potential to extend.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Merger Solution Architect will report to the IT leadership of an ACA program running an active merger with another club.

Responsibilities:

· Partnering with individual business lines to understand the redundant business applications (usually commercial off the shelf packages, rarely custom developed) and documenting the “as is” state of each club’s applications. That includes how the application is deployed and all integrations with other systems.

· The architect then develops a corresponding “future state” set of documents about what those applications and integrations will look like after the merger, and possibly any relevant intermediate steps.

· The architect will then coordinate with their peers doing similar work for other business lines to help create a holistic roadmap of deployment plans for the enterprise view of merger activities-including corresponding cross-dependencies.

· They will also partner with the project management function to translate those technical visions into corresponding work plans – helping to define activities such as the need for testing environments, data migration plans, network adjustments, and go-live plans.

· This role requires a highly proactive resource based on the program’s highly aggressive schedules. While that includes a need to be self-driven, it also requires the ability to stay aligned with and collaborate with the holistic program.

Requirements:

· The role does not have to do any actual programming or development but must be technical enough to understand all of the technical stacks, deployment models (clustered on premise, IaaS, Saas, etc.), data integrations, and corresponding technical dependencies.

· Strong collaboration and documentation skills are critical.

· Experience working with merger acquisitions in the past would be a plus
