Clinical Dietician
POSITION WOULD BE JULY-AUGUST – 32-40 HOURS PER WEEK, EVERY 4TH WEEKEND
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Plans, implements, and evaluates individualized and targeted nutrition therapies for patients utilizing evidence-based practice. Serves as an advocate for at-risk populations in area of expertise by creating and implementing programs to address their needs.
Completes nutritional assessments and routine follow up/reassessment and nutrition reviews of patients per nutrition standards of care, nutrition complexity, and protocols/pathways.
Diet instructions/counseling to patients according to established procedures and/or as ordered.
Documentation of all assessments, instructions, counseling, reassessments and nutrition reviews in patients’ medical record.
Maintains appropriate, timely, and effective communication with patients.
License/Certification/Registration:
Registered Dietitian (RD): Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN): License with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Master’s Degree or Specialty Certification in area of expertise
Must maintain credentials during employment.
